power of pink

"I <3 MP" so much I thought I'd try to wear as much of the brand as I could in a single outfit (I never tire of all these hip street brands coming out of Australia these days and especially not their accessible price points). Frolicking around in this fringy kimono, it appears certainly that I must be chasing unicorns or casting spells on little gnomes or some other kooky adventure. In reality my fringes kept getting caught on branches and I actually felt a bit shy walking around in what is essentially a long tapered bed jacket...with fringe and beaded embellishments thrown on for added measure. I love it so much but it does take a bit of confidence to pull off. Isn't it amazing how much what you wear can affect your confidence, how you perceive yourself and your place in the world? Whether we will admit it or not, I think everyone is self-conscious of the message they send to the world through their fashion choices. It is, after all, a language that communicates without a single word. What does your outfit today say about you?

Yoko fringed kimono, pink slasher flick shorts, and support group bustier, all MinkPink. Crocheted tanktop, 2020 Ave. Spiked ankle boots, Sam Edelman. Leopard print belt, Asos. Feather necklace, Urban Outfitters. Cuff bracelet, Jewelmint.

    1. It's because I used the 85mm f1/4 for these pictures!! So it's not just the wide aperture but also the long focal length. These pictures were taken from like a million feet away. Such a nice piece of glass.
