repurposing
This past weekend saw some super warm temps! It was actually low to mid 80s but it definitely felt like a little summer heat wave. Hot enough for my car seat to scorch me when I sat down. I tried to fight the heat by keeping the clothing as light as possible with a black romper and a sheer shirt (worn as a light jacket). Since I'm still on a self-imposed shopping prohibition (just one more week till the month is over! Watching all these Friends & Family sales pass by me has been torturous), I'm digging around in the closet to rediscover old loves. I've worn everything in this post before on the blog! You may remember the shirt from this post here, and the romper is actually from my very first blog post ever here. Looking back that far makes me want to cringe! The shoes were first introduced here, the bag here, and necklace was seen here.
I've been finding it pretty hard to get excited about getting dressed without a constant stream of new stuff rolling in. When I'm feeling down, picking up a little something new is often the only thing that can perk me back up! At the same time though, I'm growing wary of the whole fast-fashion, consumer culture thing. How much clothing does a person really need?
Sheer floral button-up, Audrey 3+1. Black romper, Urban Outfitters. Ostrich print crossbody, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent. Studded ankle boots, Dolce Vita.
