If I lived somewhere colder, I'd wear blanket scarves all the time. They really are ingenious at providing warmth, not to mention shelter from the wind. As it is, I only get to whip them out on special occasions, which is kind of a bummer. I do remember this past New Year's Eve, we had a freakishly cold night by LA standards and my NYE outfit, while not particularly skimpy, was not holding up very well against the elements. The fact that I carried along a blanket scarf with me made the hugest difference and my boyfriend even tried to steal some of its warmth. Now, on this particular "special occasion" seen above, I was in SF and there was a nice chilly breeze. Not exactly something to write home about, but good enough for me! I love the soft pleasing cream tones on this scarf and had been waiting for the opportunity to wear it. The color matches well with any outfit which makes it a great travel accessory!
