Soft Neutrals

With the month of March officially kicking off, it seems apropos to begin transitioning our wardrobes into spring. In most cases that probably means switching over to softer Spring colors while still choosing warm pieces that are capable of battling a chill. In my case, I'm trying not to pick overtly warm-weather pieces despite the fact that those of us here in Los Angeles are, in fact, experiencing some warm weather (and have been for some time). I'm a bit in denial about summer on the horizon and trying to dig in my heels as much as I can. So anyway, I cho=ose a breezyish knit that wouldn't feel stifling in the warm sun--this fringed sweater that I got on sale recently from H&M (sidenote: I tried to ask myself, 'do I really need another fringed sweater?' But the answer was still a resounding 'YES!' LOVE it!) Anyway, I paired the look with some whitish jeans and my favorite nude flats, which I've been wearing a lot lately. I always love a color palette of soft tans and creams, don't you? And since the weather does cool down nicely in the evenings, I was able to throw on this blanket scarf ("blarf") from Zara. The gorgeous oxblood shade is decidedly Fall/Winterish, but I'm happy to get in at least one wear before the season is truly over.

Fringed knit sweater, H&M. Bleached stiletto jeans, Current/Elliott. Nude lace-up flats, Zara (sold out, similar here and here). Large bucket bag, Mansur Gavriel (in stock!) Burgundy blanket scarf, Zara (sold out).

  2. This is such a pretty transitional weather outfit! I agree that the fringed sweater was a smart buy because 1)it's gorgeous and 2) you can never have too many fringed sweaters. That Zara scarf is also has such a beautiful pattern!

  9. I love the outfit combination and that knit is so cute! Definitely perfect for Spring, although here in England I'd probably have to wear it with a coat too. I'm very jealous of your L.A weather right now.
