Vista Hermosa
Vista Hermosa Park is one of mine and my boyfriend's favorite spots in LA, and it's still quite under-the-radar which is the best thing about it (although it's definitely gotten a lot more crowded compared to when we first discovered it). Situated on a hill, it's a true urban oasis with stunning views of Downtown LA's skyline. A must-visit if you're visiting Los Angeles. When we awoke to agreeable weather this past weekend, we knew we had to make the most of our day by indulging in one of our favorite pastimes--picnicking.
I was prepared for the occasion with some new goodies from Urban Outfitters' home collection. I'm super excited about this striped Turkish towel from Pendleton, which is going to accompany me on all my trips to the beach from now on. I layered a pretty woven throw blanket from Urban Outfitter's Magical Thinking line over it for some artistic effect. You know how much I love my fringe, so I can't help but go a little gaga over the tassels. I've also been waiting for a reason to use this glass bottle and mug set. It always feels next-level when restaurants serve water in a glass flask, so I figured why not get a set to use at home? At $20 for the set, it's a steal! Also, it was my first time bringing a throw pillow to a picnic. It is kind of a hassle to lug along, but we were well-rewarded for our efforts. It really makes a world of difference when it comes to comfort to have a place to rest your head! No more waking from awkward naps with cricks in our necks.

My boyfriend got me the Instax Mini 90 for my half birthday and I'm having so much fun with it. I remember when I was a kid and Polaroid came out with those little i-Zone cameras. My older brother got me one for Christmas and I was in love with that thing. I still have it around somewhere but it's super lame by today's standards. It was probably pretty janky even back then. I don't know why I took so long to finally get an Instax. The Instax is better by leagues, and dare I say even better than the classic Polaroid cameras. But then, I'm a huge fan of Fujifilm cameras!
Instead of picking up sandwiches from our usual spot (Larchmont Village Wine, Spirits, and Cheese), we decided to fancy it up with a cheese board (this slate chalk board one I got from Cost Plus World Market for only $15!) All of the fixins' were easily acquired at Trader Joe's. True story: my boyfriend didn't know what "charcuterie" was until he met me.

These photos are so cute! I'm so in love with the romper you're wearing, both the print and color are gorgeous! Also, I can't believe that I'm barely finding out about this park now that I'm about to leave Los Angeles. I'll have to visit next time I'm in town.
