Mini-dresses in Winter
I had this dress in my closet for a while but never really found the occasion to wear it. Despite being a floral print, the color and cut (it has these long floofy long sleeves) are a strange note to hit during the summertime. It looks much better complimented by the deeper and richer shades of fall/winter. Luckily, wearing mini-dresses during the winter in LA is totally feasible much of the time. It just gets a bit chilly at night.
You've already seen me wear this Zara jacket and these Banana Republic boots plenty of times. They are definitely two of my wardrobe's MVPs this season. Sometimes I feel like I have to consciously force myself to wear other things. As for my Chloé Faye, I had doubts at first on whether I had made the right color choice. Since it's such a popular bag, I decided to go for a seasonal color that would be a little more unique. However, while this shade "Intense Green" was definitely more distinctive than a basic black, I worried that I wouldn't get much use out of it, compared to a neutral color that could be worn year-round. Luckily, it has turned out to complement many of my outfits super well, adding a subtle yet interesting touch of color.

Fall Feels
I finally visited a neighborhood nearby with some nice fall-colored leaves and it was glorious. It's been quite chilly in LA lately (by our standards); in fact, this is the longest stretch of chilly weather I can remember experiencing since I moved back after college. The cold weather definitely contributed to a legitimate fall feel. It didn't even feel like we were in LA anymore! My fiancé and I strolled hand in hand, enjoying the slight bite and freshness to the air. It's been a while since we took a walk just for the simple joy of it (Pokemon adventures don't count) and it brought us back to the early days of our relationship. Both this turtleneck and the beanie were Thanksgiving weekend finds from H&M, and I got so excited about lower temps that I decided to wear them together even though they are kind of the same color. I think my bag tied it altogether nicely, or perhaps made it all too much, depending on who you ask. But I'm not one for overthinking things.

The Sweater Coat
My collection of coats is very small, since LA weather is hardly ever right for a coat. The coat-like sweater, on the other hand, is something I can fully embrace. I've been on the hunt for a longer, thicker sweater such as this and finally found it at Zaful. Pleasantly surprised by the thickness and non-itchy factor, considering the price tag of $23. Yup, you heard right. $23!
Now I know it can be a little scary ordering from some of those China-based fashion stores (Romwe, Shein, Choies, ChicNova, etc). If prices seem too good to be true, often times, they are. I mostly get stuff from those shops for free since they are always looking for bloggers to promote their stuff. But, after some negative experiences, I mostly avoid those shops if I can help it.
However, I spent some time browsing Zaful's site and they seem a bit more legit than the rest, as I didn't really notice any of the usual red flags. Furthermore, they have a whole Instagram Feed of girls looking good in their clothing, and the Satisfaction Guarantee helped to put my mind at ease (all dissatisfied customers will be offered unconditional resend or refund for orders under $50). I ordered another top as well, and overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the transaction and the items I received.

Off the Shoulder
A lightweight silk tank should be considered a summer staple. This one is the first I've ever owned and I'm a fan. Bonus points for the off-the-shoulder detail which is kind one of the biggest trends this summer.
I've written about the Farleigh slim mom jeans from ASOS before; I liked them so much that I bought another pair. These are the most perfect summery light-wash. Even though I got them in the same size as my other pair, they fit a bit looser for some reason, which I kind of like. I had also purchased a pair in black (which I ended up returning) but they were way too tight on me. So if you're looking to pick up a pai rof these, just a word of advice that the sizing is a bit inconsistent. Good thing ASOS has super easy and free returns!

May Gray
We've been having some "May gray" weather lately, especially in the mornings, but no complaints from me because it means relatively cool temperatures for this time of year. Speaking of grey things, though, how awesome is my new bag? =) I am SO loving this Chloé Georgia style in "pastel grey," it's an absolutely perfect shade for spring (though it was a super tough decision because it's a true beauty in black as well) and an all-around beautiful bag and the best part, you don't see it around everywhere or at least not yet. You may have seen it on my "Spring/Summer Finds" page because I've had my eye on it for a little while. I actually got a matching wallet too! Will have to take a photo of it for you guys. I paired it with my new jumpsuit that Tobi sent over in this lovely burnt camel color which y'all probably already know I'm quite keen on. Since it was actually a bit chilly this day, I layered it over a long-sleeved crop top (cut-outs on cut-outs!) and I like how it gave the jumpsuit more of an "overalls" look. Now I'm actually excited for some warmer weather so I can wear my beautiful new purse with some pretty sundresses!
P.S. If you're a new customer, you can get 50% off your first purchase at Tobi!
